Executive – SPEED

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the planning, development, and execution of training and academic programmes at the university level.
  • Collaborate with faculty, department heads, and other stakeholders to implement effective programmes that meet educational objectives and student needs.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of courses, workshops, and events to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of programmes.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme performance, collecting feedback from participants and instructors to identify areas of improvement.
  • Maintain programme budgets and resources, ensuring financial responsibility and allocation of funds to maximize programme impact.
  • Act as a liaison between the University/SPEED and external partners, fostering relationships to enhance programme offerings and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the education sector, as well as marketing strategies, particularly in the digital marketing realm.
  • Develop marketing plans and promotional materials to attract potential participants and increase programme visibility.
  • Utilize digital marketing channels and social media platforms to effectively promote programmes and engage with the target audience.
  • Analyze program data and metrics to generate reports for SPEED administrators and stakeholders, highlighting programme success and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging educational needs and competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in any field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in coordinating training and academic programmes at the university level.
  • Preferred experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing strategies and techniques.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms, and an understanding of data analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to promote programme growth and success.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality programmes and services.

Assistant Manager Information & Communications Technology Services (ICTS)

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and conduct the development, testing, installation/development, configuration, integration, enhancement and maintenance of all university’s information systems and infrastructure network.
  • Plan, manage and implement project management in the most effective and efficient way by assisting the HOD/superior in managing project schedule, costs, resources, risk, and change control for multiple projects.
  • To act on behalf of the HOD when required, in making critical decision on policy or operational matter.
  • Assist HOD/superior in providing technical expertise and recommendations for determining the feasibility of proposed/new ICT systems/projects/initiatives in terms of resources, cost and time within systems and development scope.
  • Provide assistance, advice and guidance to all business users in the effective use of applications and information technology including the university systems.
  • Manage a professional and efficient collaboration with cross-functional teams, departments, and AeU users and clients
  • Manage and supervise software development team, technical/operation team and subordinate to ensure smooth integration and deployment of the software and systems to elevate technology and apply best practices.
  • Work with infrastructure team to ensure necessary infrastructure/procedure is in place to facilitate 24×7 uninterrupted smooth operation; develop/implement and maintain backup/recovery procedure to maximize system and server availability and stability; and ensure security of university system/network and data protection.
  • Assist in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software.
  • Assist HOD/superior in engaging with vendor on hardware, software, network support, which needed external expertise for rectification.
  • Assist HOD/superior in managing a procurement arrangement or an outsourced relationship for 3rd party application development and programming consultants.
  • Available on-duty/on-call and on-site standby for relevant request for support.
  • Ensure all users’ queries from log support calls/emails are resolved on time and document their outcome.
  • Continuously update technical knowledge and skills by doing research, attending in-house and/or external course, reading manuals and assessing new applications.
  • Perform any other tasks and duties as assigned by superior or the management from time to time.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology/Information Systems, or relevant fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT services and develop.
  • Possess strong leadership, analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Experienced in programming language (e.g. PHP, Java, Web Development), database (e.g. mySQL) and infrastructure/server applications
  • Strong programming skills.
  • Required Language(s) – English. Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Team player with good time management

Analyst Programmer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyse, design and develop new module, bug fixing, maintain and support modules in Campus Management System (CMS), Learning Management System (LMS), and other systems and program.
  • Assist and support in operations for CMS (e.g. myAeU), LMS (e.g. myPLS), mySPEED and other systems and program.
  • Develop technical specifications and implementation of Java and PHP based codes or any programming languages required by the organisation.
  • Develop multi-tiered web-based application development using XML, PHP, PHP Framework, Web Service and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Develop any reporting modules from mySQL database in web-based, PDF or excel format.
  • Assist in developing technical documentation whenever required
  • Estimate and plan development work, report on task progress and deliver work on schedule.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to less experienced programmer in resolving design and code problems.
  • Perform any other tasks and duties as assigned by superior or the management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology/Information Systems, or relevant fields.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT services and develop.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and natural problem-solving ability.
  • Experienced in MySQL server.
  • Strong programming skills.
