Webmaster

We are looking for a skilled Webmaster to manage our organization’s web presence. The Webmaster will be responsible for maintaining servers and ensuring websites are functional, user-friendly, visually pleasing, and up-to-date.

To be successful as a Webmaster you should be able to work well in a team, collaborating with managers, designers, writers, etc. As an exceptional Webmaster, you should have excellent technical skills and a good understanding of creative online marketing.

Senior System Analyst

Job Responsibilities :  

Main

  • Working knowledge of project management and all phases of software development life cycle.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholder and perform systems design.
  • Develop and test new application based on user requirement.
  • Maintain all application system, which include installation, customization, testing, documentation and training the users.
  • Develop and generate all required reports, which are needed by the users.
  • Provide technical support on all application for all developers when required.

General

  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing systems.
  • Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, requirements and business requirements documents.
  • Develop, analyse, prioritise, and organise requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams (e.g. use cases, flowcharts, database design, etc), and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
  • Translate in between highly technical specifications and non-technical requirements.
  • Design and develop main controller components and programming solution for the software programmers/developers.
  • Conduct system testing, coordinate testing processes and procedures to ensure overall quality assurance process.
  • Perform deployment, setup and configuration of the completed system.
  • Perform design, implementation, identify modifications and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and changing user needs.
  • Involve in managing an outsource relationship for 3rd party application development and programming consultants.
  • Assist network administrator with application installation and testing.
  • Provides assistance, training and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
  • Coordinate application development for multiple projects.
  • Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, training etc.
  • Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Engineering/Information Technology/Information Systems or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years working experience with systems analysis, design, implementation, testing, installing, configuring, training, maintaining of new applications and information systems technologies.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with systems development and database support/maintenance/administration.
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
  • Working knowledge and experience with variety of programming languages.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills including good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to work in team, meeting deadlines and work under minimum supervision.

Academic Fellow

Job Responsibilities:

Supervision:

The Academic Fellow is responsible for guiding the student in planning their research and dissertation/thesis preparation. The following are some aspects of the responsibilities:

  • Guides the student in the selection and planning of an original research topic.
  • Establishes with the student a realistic timetable for completion of the various phases.
  • Ensures that student has an understanding of the relevant theories and the methodological and technical skills necessary.
  • Ensure quality of supervision.
  • Submits a half-yearly Progress Report on the student’s research progress.
  • Attends the student’s research proposal defense.
  • Attends the student’s viva voce examination.

Teaching and Facilitation:

  • Teaching and facilitating modules inclusive of the development, uploading and overall programme of the LMS of the subjects assigned.
  • To be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the modules assigned.

Programme Administration & Development

  • To assist the Dean in the general administration, coordination, academic counselling and monitoring of students’ academic performances.
  • To assist the Dean by providing inputs and suggestions in the review of the School’s existing and new programmes.
  • To assist the Dean by providing inputs and documentation in the accreditation of school programmes

Research and Publication

  • To conduct research and write academic papers for discussions, conferences and publications in academic forum and journals.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Doctoral qualification in related field.
  • Retired Professor from IPTA are welcome to apply.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an academia in an established and reputable institution of higher learning.
  • Experience in supervision of Doctoral students.
  • Interest and/or experience in student support and performance issues.
