ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
- All International students who intend to pursue a programme at Diploma, Bachelor, Master’s or Doctorate level are required to fulfil the academic entry requirements for the programme concerned as well as the English Language Competency Requirement as follows:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or
- Test of English as a Foreign Language Paper Based Test (TOEFL PBT) Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet Based Test (TOEFL IBT),
- Cambridge English: Advance (CAE)],
- Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE), or
- Pearson Test of English (PTE), or
- Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
- These students who meet the academic entry requirements will be provided with conditional offers initially to enable them to attend the English Language Preparatory Course for a period not exceeding 12 months.
- Notwithstanding the above, any international student from countries using English as an official medium of instruction or from an academic institution using English as a medium of instruction, shall normally be exempted from the above requirement.
